The half day in-person conference will explore how technology is transforming the art world and will take place at RIBA, just 10 minutes’ walk from Frieze.
By convening art and technology specialists, collectors and investors, the conference will explore innovation in the art market today. The conference will be chaired by art market journalist, Riah Pryor (The Art Newspaper & the Financial Times) and will include three panel sessions followed by a series of Quickfire Pitches and networking with the opportunity to meet with our art tech exhibitors.

How do art collectors view art & technology? Our panellists will chart their experiences with art and technology, assessing the pace of change and market impact, the challenges and opportunities, and ultimately share their perspectives and vision for the art market in 2050.

10:45: The Art of Data: Unlocking Potential in the Digital Marketplace
What data is out there? How do we create reliable and sufficiently interlinked sets of data that allow us to unlock functions within the art market? And, what could this mean for the sector’s hesitance towards increased transparency? Our speakers will explore how data is shifting the way the sector works, and the opportunities and challenges it is unlocking. Speakers: Lindsay Dewar (ArtTactic), Angus Scott (Artclear), Chris Bentley (AXA XL), moderated by Harco van den Oever (Overstone).
